Julie is the Groomer, Veterinary Nurse and Behaviour trainer behind Pampered Floof who is passionate about helping animals and their owners live harmoniously together. Her positive methods are designed to help groom your dog with love and care. Her experience, qualifications and love for animals are what sets her apart.
“ My first love in life was animals. It came like second nature to me, knowing how to treat them and care for them. Very early in life, it became my passion and mission to help them, and from then on I have lived my life for animals.
I have spent years working and studying so many things to do with animals. My first job was in a kennel, and I have studied and worked my way into vet nursing positions, even managing practices where I was introduced and began to learn about grooming and pet behaviour training.
When I founded Pampered Floof, my mission was not just to relate to the animals, but also to you as a pet owner. Whether you are a new ‘pawrent’ or have had pets for years, I understand that sometimes everyone needs a little help and guidance to move in the right direction. Seeking help from a behavioural expert is the first step to strengthening your bond with your pet and creating an everlasting positive relationship. It would be my honour to work with you as you embark on this journey.”
Julie, with over 30 years of experience working with animals, has a rich background in veterinary care and dog grooming. Starting as a vet nurse in 1997, she honed her skills while managing practices at various vet clinics. This extensive journey has granted her deep insights into animal behaviour which she believes greatly assists the whole grooming experience.
For the past decade, Julie has been offering dog grooming services through vet clinics and has transitioned to operating her own home salon. Equipped with professional tools, Julie does her absolute best to ensure grooming is a pleasant and relaxed experience for dogs. Her goal is to make the entire process positive and enjoyable for both you and your furry companion. 🐾🛁
As a young teenager, Julie already knew her calling was to love, care for and work with animals. While her natural affinity to animals has always been there, she has spent years since studying, training and building her skills to be the best she can be in the animal care industry.
Her qualifications include a Certificate IV in Vet Nursing, a Certificate IV in Companion Animal Services and a Certificate III in Animal Studies, alongside years of other courses and studies in animal behaviour and dog grooming services.
Julie is beyond passionate about animals, and everything she does flows from a place of love, empathy and compassion towards them. To her, there is no such thing as a ‘problem’ pet, just one that needs some extra love and understanding. She is also enthusiastic about animal welfare and ensuring all animals are treated with the love and respect they deserve. Your pet is in safe hands with Julie, and you can trust that she will look after your fur-baby as if it were her own.
Julie’s love and care for animals are obvious, but it’s important to know that she is here for you too! She creates a judgement-free zone, where you can be open and honest about your struggles as she supports you on your pet care journey.
